AOL issues
Hello,
I am trying to help my boyfriend with a problem he's having with his computer. He said he can't remember exactly when it started, but he says it's around 2-3 weeks ago. When AOL starts, it will not open his buddy list. When he tries to open it manually, the computer stalls and says "response from this service is being delayed". He says that he has also tried using other AIM clients (such as Trillian), and has had the same trouble. The only way he can get on AIM now is through the web-based AIM express, which is (understandably) quite annoying. He has also tried downloading the standalone version of AIM and received this message: "AIM is having difficulty making a connection at this time". He is using Windows XP and AOL 9.0 optimized. Thank you in advance for any help, Marisa Edit: I did read the similar post in this same area of the site, but since (to my knowledge) my boyfriend is only having problems with the AIM service and not all AIM-related sites, I decided to post a new topic.
