Firefox 1.5.0.1 passwords

I recently downloaded Firefox 1.5.0.1 Everything is fine except my passwords come up without using asterisks. This is not good. Can anyone tell me what to look for. I am not sure if it's the download or I did something wrong. Thanks in advance for any help u may offer.

I know that some extension can show your passwords. I don't know if there are any that just ALWAYS show them, so I can't be too sure if it is even that problem.

What you could try is to disable the extensions one by one to see if one of them is doing it. Here is what you do, in case you don't know...

1. Tools... Extensions
2. right-click on the extension and click disable
3. close firefox
4. restart firefox and test the password thing to see if it was that extension
5. if not,... do 1-4 again

Try that so we can tell if it it's an extension and then we can go from there
