some one help me

ok i just got done downloading mozilla firefox because my ie is tupid and it wouldn;t connect?? yah weird and then i made my firewall accept it but still no connectyion and my ie explorer still connected. i tried uninstalling and re-installing but it still said the same thing i tried connections and everything was right(i think). some one help im tired of using ie

Things to check - XP security settings, your firewall (again!), then in Firefox > Tools > Options > General > Connection Settings - make sure it's set for direct access if you aren't using a proxy.
