Internet Explorer urls open in Firefox?
I have a VERY annoying problem. When I type a url into internet explorer and click go, it opens in firefox, not IE! This means that effectively I can't update...
I think this may have some connection to "FreshDownload" a download manager I have recently installed. I have uninstalled it but the problems continue. Any help greatly appreciated. |

You might try setting I.E. as the default browser. At least long enough to get your updates.

Please try the following syeps as it seems that some changes have taken place in the Settings.
1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer, click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. 2. Double-click Internet Options. 3. Click the Advanced tab. 4. Under Browsing, click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart) check box. 5. Restart Internet Explorer. Refer to the following Microsoft site to disable the Third party Browser Helper Objects How to disable third-party tool bands and Browser Helper Objects
