Mozilla won't load? Help!

I've been using Mozilla for the past year or so and have never had problems with it. Today I was updating it and the update crashed. I restarted the computer but Mozilla refused to load any sites. I am currently using IE but I'd like to know how to get Mozilla to work again.

Please help!

Thank you!

Check the connection settings in edit tab/preferences/general/connection settings. Make sure Mozilla is configured to use your internet connection.

The crashed update could have damaged some Mozilla files. Try reinstalling it (backup your bookmarks and settings first)

How do I make sure that Firefox is using my connection?

I have tried reinstalling it and whatnot but it still refuses to work.

Actually, I tried to reinstall it several times but it would not work.

Is there anything else that could be wrong?

Does Mozilla load, but just not find any websites? Or will Mozilla just not open at all? If it simply will not open at all, I would suggest uninstalling Mozilla, completely, of course back up the bookmarks and such, but uninstall completely all instances of all Mozilla installations. And then re-install. Check the open applications in the task manager for any open browsers and close it/them before attempting the uninstall. You cannot manage/ install / uninstall ANY browsers, or any other applications for that matter, if they are open.

Mozilla will open but it does not find any sites. IE works but Mozilla won't. I have tried installing and reinstalling but it just won't work.

How do I uninstall ALL instances, as you have stated?

Should I try anything else or give up and find another browser?

To uninstall, close all browsers and email programs, uninstall Mozilla from Add/Remove Programs, reboot and reinstall with no other programs running.

If you're getting a 'Server not found' error when you try to load a site, check your firewall settings to make sure Mozilla is not being blocked.

I don't even get the 'Server not found' message. Mozilla opens but just stays blank completely.

Any other suggestions? I just can't seem to get this fixed!

Did you try this as suggested? Hint: all instances should appear in the add/remove programs list. Make sure all are uninstalled before the reboot, and you might wish to check the list again after the reboot, just to make sure Mozilla is ALL gone from the add/remove list. If all is clear, then do a fresh download and re-install.
