Hi. I am having a problem loading pages in Firefox. It shows that the page is loading, but nothing loads. I am also having the same problem in Avant Browser (an IE-based browser). However, IE works fine...
This seems to have started after a recent Windows "Security" Update for Windows XP (KB912919). I tried uninstalling the update, to no avail... I can't seem to get any browser to work, except IE. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox. I have tried configuring my firewall (Norton). But that doesn't seem to work either. Perhaps it is coincidence, but when I try to update MS Antispyware (beta 1.0) and SpywareBlaster they both stop responding... Any ideas, so that I may return to the wonderful world of tabbed browsing? |

So do you eventually get the "page cannot be displayed" error? And regardless of the page you request? Sounds like IE isn't wanting to share the internet connection. But I'm not sure how to tell you to check it in windows.

Thanks for the reply...
Actually, I haven't waited around long enough to see whether or not the page finishes loading in Firefox. I can tell you that after about 10 mins. or so in Avant Browser, Google had only loaded 29%! |
