Certain sites will not load. I know the sites are there, as I have gone to friends house's and log on to my user names there.

Hi, and welcome to TSF. I would suggest this to be a firewall issue. What A-V or anti-spyware applications do you have on? Just noticed the . after com, it shouldn't be there, and may cause a fault.

Yeah I get this on certain websites.
Batty, that period is only there to end the sentence. It's not in the address bar.

Use the edit button, preferences, privacy tab, find and click the "clear all histories" button. It will forget everyplace you've been, but perhaps also the problem. And look in the advanced tab for more settings.

You could try changing the period of time Firefox tries to connect before giving up:
* Type about:config in the address bar. * Type network.http into the 'Filter' field. * Look below for a line that says, network.http.keep-alive.timeout * Double-click on the line. * Change the value to '600' in the box that appears. * Click OK. * Close and restart Firefox. |
