Problems with Address Bar in Firefox
It seems since using FF for a good while now (getting the latest updates when available). And I have yet to be able to use the address bar without any problems.
Before 1.5 came out, I would always have the problem of getting incomplete addresses, for example, if I was typing "tec" for techsupportforum.com, when the completed address appears underneath, if I didn't click it JUST right, it would try loading a page with just "tec". Now it's gotten more frustrating since i got 1.5. When I use the address bar to click on sites I've been to before, it now seems to simply "refresh" the page and not load the page I want. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a way to fix it? Any help appreciated. |

I haven't seen this problem before. What size is your Firefox cache, and have you tried clearing it?
Have you made any changes using about:config involving urlbar or dnsCacheEntries? What extensions do you have installed? Does the same thing happen in Windows Explorer or IE?

Re: Problems with Address Bar in Firefox
Thanks for posting the solution, pittskatty.
This thread is from 2006 and and the OP was using Firefox 1.5, but your post will still be useful for current Firefox users with the same problem.
