Mozilla / Firefox compatibility with IE

Hello!

I'm new to tech forums and indeed to website design but have designed a site which works well in IE but not so well in Mozilla. I think given that Mozilla is ever increasing in popularity I need to make the site more compatible.

My problem is with gif images - they don't seem to align right in Mozilla and nothing I do seems to make a difference. Also the text isn't aligned properly in places. I have validated the site and it has passed ok.

The site is www.mugginsmugs.com if you'd like to take a look. Please don't be too technical as I probably won't know what you mean!

If you could give me some feedback in simplified terms I'd be really really grateful.

Many thanks

My System

Using Firefox 1.5
No problems with alignment or gifs on the main page.

'What We Do' The icons on the bottom left overlap the text above, where it says "A thankyou for...?".
The forward link button is too low and goes over the border (also in 'Our Designs' and FAQ pages), and the mugs image is too far to the right.

'The Process' Only 2 lines of text visible in Steps 2 and 3.
Step2: Post your order form, payment and

Step3: Within a week you'll receive your
proof. Happy? We'll print the mugs and

When you created the gifs did you set the background colour to white or transparent?

Some of the link buttons are pink instead of red. Not sure if that's because I've clicked on them. I think it's only these two, FAQ and Prices/Contact Info.

Looks good, nice layout

As above. The text in Firefox is larger than IE and the gap from the red border to the text is also larger.Reducing the text size fixes the problem, but the arrow buttons only line up when the text is at it's smallest. It looks as if the text needs to be moved a line higher.

Thanks for your comments and help.

It has been recommended that we amend the site to a 800 x 600 resoultion. Does anybody have any thoughts on that??

Looks great. I have a website but by no means am I an expert, if your good with macromedia flash maybe try doing a flash file and embeding it into your webpage that way everyone would view it the same. I have no clue about flash and don't have the program but if you like the idea someone around here could probably help you.
