restoring profiles
If I use mozbackup to restore a profile but only select it to restore the bookmarks in that profile backup, will i lose all the saved passwords and stuff that I have already got in my profile??

No, but you won't get your bookmarks on your current profile either. It will make a new profile with all those bookmarks and defaults for everything else. You'll have two profiles. Your current, and the restored one.
