[Help] no sound on any streaming media

not sure if this the right place for this post
everytimg i watch any streaming video on any website, i get no sound
i don't have problem watching any movies in my pc w/sound
no sound on either ff or ie
any suggestion
i just check, quicktime trailer and it play the video w/sound

I had to get the vox codecs for windows media player before it would play some video streams. You can find it on a google search. It drove me crazy til I figured out how to fix it. Good luck.
