Firefox flickering/twitching (1.0.4)

For a few days now, firefox has been really p-ing me off by flickering almost all the time, it's doing it now too...

Has anyone got an idea of how to fix the flickering, found nothing whilst googling apart from something for the website designers which is of no use to me, cos I'd have to tell 1000's of ppl about it...

I don't know why it seemed to start randomly, or I atleast think it did, unless it was FF 1.0.3 before.

Thx,

Stephen

Does it just happen when you are using Firefox? Did you try fiddling with the monitor settings? Oh, and what's your screen resolution?

Open your bookmarks tree in the sidebar or Bookmarks Manager and make sure your main Bookmark Folder is situated in pole position (at the top) so Firefox can 'read' it. You can move the folders around by the drag and drop method. If it's not at the top it usually causes Firefox to bounce around. Annoying innit?!

Ah thanks keithy397,

I didn't really get what you meant with main bookmarks folder but I remembered that I deleted my last bookmark off the bookmarks toolbar just before it started flickering!

I just added TSF's site to it to stop the flickering

Re: Firefox flickering/twitching (1.0.4)

I've seen the same thing. You only need to make sure you're using the most current version of Flash. Double check the Firefox plugins listing to ensure you have the correct version installed. It may not make sense but this was not a problem with IE only with Firefox and Opera.
