Jay, Sorry for the lack of response... maybe nobody knows the answer based on the limited information you provided
You say it only happens sometimes. Is this at random times, when you're typing an URL or only within webpages? ie searches, filling in forms, etc. Have you done a full antivirus test? Are you using any malware protection? a-squared www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free Ad-Aware www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware Spybot www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html The only references I can find relate to Java. Is your Java up to date? Try disabling it. Does the website's text appear backwards as well, like on this site http://elgoog.rb-hosting.de/index.cgi

OK, well i am using Firefax version 1.0.4 and through some research, i have figured out that when i am about to play the game runescape and i press play game and then pick high quality then i pick a world then i play or watever, then i log out and stop playing the game. Well, i have realized that i only do reverse typing when i stop playing the game. Its weird but thats how it is... the game runs on Java, is there a solution?

Try reinstalling Java http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
If the latest version doesn't help, go back to an earlier version or try Microsoft Java. runescape.com has a Customer Support section with a 'Bug Reporting System'. You need to have an account to enter this section, so I couldn't check to see if it's a known problem. Any luck with the antivirus/malware?

Re: Reverse typing
I too experienced the same problem with my Firefox browser (latest version 2.0.0.9) when operation on W2k system, when browsing M-W dictionary. Is it due to a malware, or some problem with firefox? Can somebody enlighten me on this issue?

Re: Reverse typing
same issue here with firefox 3b2. it is a Java related problem for sure. i use this software based on Java (i use both 6_03 and 1.4.2_06 for this software's needings).
it happens everytime i try to run it. sometimes killing the process after closing the main window is necessary cause it hangs in a dead status among. i noticed that clearing caches and temps helps. i'd really like to have this working cause the software i'm talking about is the one i'm using to work. it has IE support only and with every other version of firefox just cant be executed, while it works just perfectly on this 3b2, except for this annoying problem. |

Re: Reverse typing
just to make it clear:
when i use this Java based emulator during a normal F3b2 session, it begins to reverse typing, even if i can type everything normally in the emulator screen. whenever i use Ffox and have a normal session nothing goes wrong. but when i use this java application it first types wrong, then when i try to close Ffox it closes the main window but tells me that a Firefox process is still running, and it does untill i kill it from the task manager. i noticed that clearing caches and temp files help a little. another strange thing is that it happens often, but more or less on the 90% ot the times i run it. i will try to change java version, reinstall everything from Ffox itself to the emulator, change regional settings and everything. a log of the java emulator session follows. thanks for your attenction. |
