Mozilla Firefox 3.5.3 freezes

Firefox 3.5.3 freezes every time I open it. I have to 'ctrl+alt+del' to force quit the application. I tried to uninstall the application so I can reinstall it, but the application doesn't show up in the list of 'add remove software' list in the control panel.
Is it the connection or the software.
The computer works fine other than trying to connect to the internet.

Through further experimentation, Firefox worked fine when the computer is running in 'safe mode'. When the computer runs in normal mode is freezes as well as IE8.

I then saw a Firefox 'safe mode' option in the 'All Programs' list for Firefox. That works fine in normal mode. Strange.

Hi,

Start with disabling all your add-ons. Then start with enabling one at a time and see if you are able to run your FF.
