Firefox links on web pages wont open

Hi, I really need someones help, im having some trouble opening new web pages from links already existing current web pages, what will happen is I will click on the link the page will open but nothing will happen I simply get a blank page that never loads, i like to think im fairly computer savvy but im stuck with this one. This is the site I am currently trying to download something from but nothing happens, try for yourself try and download "A state of trance episode 411" with the download link >> http://alldj.org/index.php?name=News&new_topic=8 with the download key, im really stuck here and would appreciate someones help, thanks alot.

Try to right click on link and select open link in new tab or you could select new window..and see what happens? do you get the same problem?
I checked out the link you are talking about and it seems to redirect you to a file hosting site (a website used to upload files, so you could share with others) anyhow it worked fine for me maybe your firewall or anti-virus software could be blocking you from this site...post back with update on your problem if you please could..

hi dude thanks for responding, i tried opening in a new tab and new window and the same thing happened, how would i go about changing my anti virus and firewall to make it accept this web page? thanks man

I would temporarily disable anti-virus just to see if it would make a difference or not..
What anti-virus software are you using?..

im currently using avast, before i was using avg free which i then removed and tried to open that link with no success, should I try removing avast all together?

no, I wouldn't recommend removing it completely (but do you know if you just started having this problem after installing Avast). Also you say you did uninstall AVG free before installing Avast. Also what do you mean you tried to open AVG free link with no success..

hi, no it started long before I uninstalled avg free and set up avast, a friend recommended i change anti virus and it didnt work, by that >> you tried to open AVG free link with no success..i meant that link on that page i showed you didnt work when i removed avg free lol
