@HELP!@ Internet Slow (not just firefox!!)

Hi everyone, I really need some help here! :(!!

Short and sweet, my internet browsing is slow, crashes often and "cannot connect" to many websites at one stage and then can connect a few mins later.

I'm at my wits end!

I've de-fragged my PC, unistalled and installed FireFox again, run cleaners, run in safe mode, called my broadband advisors (who brought up my download speed) and checked for viruses. I've checked my firewall and all that stuff and STILL my internet is screwy!

Things just take ages to load, sometimes they don't at all and i get the "address could not be found" message, yet when i re-fresh it finds it.

I'm going crazy here.

WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?

It could be related to your other problem: Help please :(((( virus/rootkit???

No, I have done many full and deep scans, found a few bugs all of which have been removed since.

For some reason my internet works fine for a few mins then cuts out. Then works again for a little while and cuts out.

It's horrible =z

dude same thing happened to me
i did everything possible to solve this but nothing happened.
but one day checked my proxy settings in both mozilla n internet explorer n wollaaa... there waz the problem n solution i waz serching for jst change the proxy setting to "no proxy".

to do this in mozilla-> tools->options->advanced-> network->settings -> no proxy

internet explorer-> tools -> internet options-> connections-> lan settings -> uncheck the tick for "use a proxy setting for lan "
