humm im having a very similar problem the only page i carnt load is hotmail. I can load it how ever on explorer but it is becoming a very big inconvenience. As my mother is not computer litter at and cannot access her emails via messenger. As its set to FF and i do not wish to change it as i would only use FF for things retaining to passwords i will not uses explorer for any think retaining a password . Im using windows xp as i refuse to upgrade to vista. Please don't try and tell me that could be the problem as i wont have vista on any of my pcs ever. I would like any help that could be offered in this. As it means i have to let my mother use my pride and joy and she has already blown my motherboard by spilling Coffey on it once. So i am getting very anxious to fix the problem. so she can go back to using the laptop for her emails. BTW its not my firewall as i disabled it to test if it was before and i only use basic firewalls on the computers at home as they do not retain an privlaged information.

Welcome to TSF!!

I am sorry to hear about your mobo. Lets start of with some of the simple things. Can you reach www.hotmail.com, if so you should see a login for Windows Live. You should be able to login with her hotmail information. After that what do you see?

On the laptop, I would also make sure that it is clean, run all the scans that you have to make sure that it is clean. If you need help with any scans go here.
