[SOLVED] Firefox "hanging"

Whenever I'm about to type in anything into the address bar, a couple letters in it freezes. Randomly it will freeze and I can't figure out how to stop it.

Re: Firefox "hanging"

Does this happen in only firefox? Run Firefox in safe mode, does it still happen? Boot into safe mode with networking and try it again. Have you tried reinstalling Firefox?

Re: Firefox "hanging"

Yes, this only happens in firefox. I tried re-installing it first, and it continued to persist. I tried safe mode, and it didn't change anything.

Re: Firefox "hanging"

Try creating a new profile and see if it changes anything.

Also, what security software are you running?

Re: Firefox "hanging"

Yes! Got it to work, the new profile did the trick. No more "hanging". Thanks
