connecting to server complications?

for some reason, everytime i try to sign in to anything that requires a password, such as, hotmail, yahoo, facebook, myspace, gmail, aol, ect.. i get sent to a page that says firefox cannot establish connection to server.

i've cleared my cookies and private data, ran anti-virus scans, download the newest version of firefox available, restarted my modem, and restarted my computer. i don't know what else i can do, if you've had similar problems, or know how to solve this, please help me :/

The only thing that i can think of is that something is blocking you from accessing secured sites.

i figured out what it was wrong, my norton internet security kept putting up it's own fire wall, so every time i restart my name i have to disable it. but it works now.

Don't you want that firewall running?

Try messing with the configuration to get it to work correctly

this computer is already messed up, there's no sense in saving it.
