Hello, im horribly computer illiterate and am having a real issue with my Firefox. Every time I attempt to launch the browser or visit any websites I get the following message
"FORBIDDEN You don't have permission to access /firefox on this server." WHAT DOES THIS MEAN???...what steps can I take to fix this problem? thanks a lot! |

Re: 403 error...cannot access ANYTHING
Hi,
Welcome to TSF!! What a 403 error means is that you don't have permission to veiw a certain part of a webage or folder. Now when you open FF what do you see in the address bar? Is it /firefox? If so, I would like you to try to go to www.google.com, and see what you get. The reason that I ask is that /firefox is a file, and not a url, so that might be the problem, and FF doesn't open folders by default. Also, you should still have IE installed on your computer, I would like you to try to get to www.google.com in it and see what happens. I want to make sure that this problem is limited only to FF. I am sure we can figure this out! Cheers!
