Hi. Just today I was trying to open Firefox and I get the hourglass for a second but nothing happens, no error message or anything.
-FF is NOT currently running in taskmanager. -Attempting to start new task through task manager and running firefox.exe does nothing. -going into program files and attempting to open it does the same thing as clicking the shortcut. -restarting does not help. -just ran spyware/virus scans this morning. nothing out of the ordinary. -i am running the latest version (it just updated yesterday). Just before this problem occurred, I was having trouble with iTunes as well -- I was getting an error "iTunes encountered an error" any time i attempted to open iTunes. Repairing iTunes did nothing, I ended up having to uninstall (using Revo) realplayer, itunes + quicktime and then reinstalling iTunes. It was at some point during this process that FF stopped working. iTunes works after the complete uninstall/reinstall but I cannot open FF with any method I can think of. Help is appreciated! Lauren i'm going to attempt to uninstall/reinstall FF right now. Last edited by veloxx; 02-07-2009 at 08:47 PM. |
