Re: Mozilla Firefox

Could be one of a few things:
  1. You are using too much RAM for other things.
  2. Your cache is too large.
  3. Extensions
  4. Malware (I'm really hoping it isn't this one)

Run your browser while no other windows are open. If this solves your problem, then congratulations! If not, proceed to the next solution.

Clear your cache. You can do this under your Tools menu.

What extensions do you have installed? Some of these can make loading slow.

Re: Mozilla Firefox

Is Firefox taking longer to open than it used to, or is this just a general question about its loading speed?

How long does it take on your computer? I'm running Firefox 2 with 10 addons, and it takes about 20 seconds.

Firefox has always taken a long time to open compared to Internet Explorer. This is because IE has most of its components already loaded with the operating system, whereas Firefox has to start loading everything at the point you first run it, adding a few seconds onto the opening time.
