I want to have Firefox as default browser.

Hi. I have a problem that is more irritating than a must fix. I use a dial-up connection and it always loads to IE 7. Is there a way to have my connection load to Firefox? I use Juno as my ISP. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: I want to have Firefox as default browser.

Open Firefox and go to Tools > Options > Main tab. Put a checkmark in 'Always check to see if Firefox is the default browser on startup'.

Then go to Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Programs tab and remove the checkmark from 'Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser'.

This will make Firefox the default browser and prevent IE from trying to take ownership every time it starts.

Re: I want to have Firefox as default browser.

Hmm. I tried your suggestion and it did not solve. Then I thought about how Microsoft seems to always want you to reboot. So I tried that and it still did not work.
I have sysinternals Process Explorer and noticed that IE loads under the exec.exe of Juno (it is in Juno's process tree). Could this mean that when Juno loads it has some sort of script to load IE?
