firefox probs

hi i do not no if anyone can help me out i have two problems the first problem is i somtimes get an error in firefox 3.0.5 that says this

" AppName: firefox.exe AppVer: 1.9.0.3257 ModName: msvcr80.dll
ModVer: 8.0.50727.762 Offset: 0004ef67"

i have had firefox 2.0.0.9 then upgraded to ver 3.0.1with no problems i've recently reformatted my system and now have ver 3.0.5 it just seems a bit weird i think i have loaded the latest java script ver 1.6 but still problems.

my opther problem is that in my bookmarks next to the link eg www.google.com there used to be a small icon to the left now these are all missing not sure why

Re: firefox probs

Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling FF, as for the "favicons" in your bookmarks, once you visit the websites they should show up again.

Re: firefox probs

Hi thanks for that info Alpenadiver i have started to click on eack link it just seems weird how the icons / bitmaps used to be there in friefox 2 but firefox 3 messes them up.

the error in firefox.exe "msvcr80.dll" seems to be C program error and not directly related to firefox just annoying.

thanks for hely anyway
