uninstall FF2 before installing FF3?

About 2 weeks ago i uninstalled FF2 and installed FF3,the only issue i had at the time was intermittant high cpu usage,mem usage would stay around 60-70 meg,..I have an older Dell L600r (600mhz) and 512 mem, I uninstalled FF3 and went back to 2.
I would like to try downloading FF3 again,but should i uninstall FF2 or can i go right over the top of it..
and once installed what would you recommend for intermittant higher than normal cpu usage?.....Thanks in advance

you really do not need to uninstall ff 2 before installing ff3. It is really up to you.

Thank you sobeit,have been running Opera 9.63 and am quite impressed with the speed,its been averaging quicker times than ff2.0.0.20 using Numion stopwatch.

firefox 3 is a lot faster than 2. IMO, 2.5 was almost a disaster for mozilla. Something to consider, firefox addons can slow things down so use only those you need. If you want to have some fun try other browsers,give safari, avant, and chrome a try. I have all, including opera installed and switch between them.

Opera is not a bad choice so if you are happy with it - keep it :-)
