Hi Everyone,

I have got firefox on my PC at home and it works fine but i have got it on my PC at work and it randomly closes and i'm not sure why, other people have got it installed and they dont have any problems and we all have pretty much the same software and we have the same firewall/antivirus on our computers.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Hi,

The first thing that I need to know is if this is a company computer, or personal computer. This will direct our line of thinking. If it is a company computer then you need to get in touch with your IT department and ask them if they have any ideas, or if they have been doing any upgrading.

If this is your personal computer, you will want to look at what programs are running when it closes. You will also want to see if there is an excessive load on the computer. The amount of time that you leave FF open can sometimes cause closing as the amount of resources that it is using just get too high.

These are all things to think of but get back to us and we can give you some ideas.

Thank you for your reply, this is a company PC and it may sound a little strange but I am in the I.T of the company lol

Firefox doesn’t take long to close... maybe a couple of minutes max and I only ever have a few applications open when it does close but these are only the same applications that other people have open all the time

I'm not sure if there is a big load at the time I will need to monitor that tomorrow
