FF is failing for me.
So-been doing some research since my FF has decided to become completely different on me in the last hour....2 Big problems for me:
1. There is no navigation anymore...can't go back or forward between pages...the arrows are black (not green like usual) and even keyboard shortcuts are not working. If I click on a page, I can go nowhere else unless I can navigate where I want to go thru the page. THAT SUX. 2. When I start up FF I get the lovely FF Start page w/Google...not that I don't like google, but my homepage is a goner. Looked thru all the posts already up about this and have found no adequate solution. There are no added URL's in my options>main>when ff starts...All I want is my homepage to show up where my blessed email is. 3. Okay, I said only 2, but this one I just noticed...no matter what site I'm on my homepage URL is what shows in the bar... So please help me so I don't go back to IE...I really hate it. Any suggestions? |

Re: FF is failing for me.
Hi and welcome to TSF.
![]() Can you provide us a screenshot of your issue? Also, try running firefox in safe mode (start->mozilla firefox->firefox in safe mode). See if that works. If that doesn't work either, we can create a new Firefox profile and import all your bookmarks/important settings to it. But first try the safe mode. |

Well my Firefox stopped working about 2 hours ago when I updated it to a newer version and none of the solutions posted on this website worked for me. (As I was having a major panic attack) I tried restoring my computer to yesterday's settings, go to
Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore->Next->**Select a Restore Point [Click on the day before you updated Mozilla Firefox]->Click Next->Click Restore and it will automatically restart your computer do not press anything else. It may take a couple of minutes. Restoring your computer is like going back in time so to speak. Your computer will be in the exact same state as it was the date in which you choose. Don't worry THIS CAN BE UNDONE. Just go back to the same place and click undo last System Restore (though you shouldn't find any need to). This method has worked for me several times as a quick-fix for times when my computer has crashed or I've downloaded things that have messed up my computer. Try restoring your computer to the day before the problem occurred. Hope this helps! |
