about:buildconfig in firefox
What is the use of about:buildconfig in firefox? When i type about:buildconfig in the location bar the following is displayed in the page:
Build platform target i586-pc-msvc Build tools Compiler Version Compiler flags $(CYGWIN_WRAPPER) cl 12.00.8804 -TC -nologo -W3 -Gy -Fd$(PDBFILE) $(CYGWIN_WRAPPER) cl 12.00.8804 -TP -nologo -W3 -Gy -Fd$(PDBFILE) Configure arguments --enable-application=browser --enable-update-channel=release --enable-official-branding --enable-optimize --disable-debug --disable-tests --enable-static --disable-shared --enable-svg --enable-canvas --enable-update-packaging What are these? can anybody please explain these terms? It's just information about the program's build options. Nothing to worry about for the average user, unless you're a Mozilla developer.
The most common of the about: commands is about:config which allows you to make changes to any aspect of Firefox and the way it runs.
