Firefox / HughesNet compatability
Just got highspeed, HughesNet. Generally [most sites] there is a quick line at the bottom of the screen with the site address [fleeting, look close or you will not see it], and then failure to connect. Reload, same thing. Once in a while, connect occurs and the page almost instantly appears, HughesNet is fast. And, after a number of sites are tried, pushing that back arrow to go to previous pages may bring up a page that had initially failed. Hughes feels that the problem is the way the browser is operating. Anyone with ideas of what I can do. By the way, I am WINXP.

Re: Firefox / HughesNet compatability
I posted on one of the newer posts (Web sites look weird...) in this area just the other day and have not gotten an answer. I am having somewhat similar problems. I have tried everything......and by that, I really do mean everything! I have even restored my computer to factory settings because I thought that it might be a tricky virus......
I have come to the conclusion that it really is Hughsnet's problem. They will however, try to blame it on someone or something else because they do not know how to fix it. Don't get me wrong,...I like my hughsnet service, I'm just tired of only being able to access half of the internet. Do read my other post. I listed what I did to try and solve this problem. Perhaps you could go through my list and see if anything works for you that didn't work for me. I don't think I forgot any possible solution. I deleted my cache as well...don't know if I put that on there.....still to no avail... hope this helps you :)
