[SOLVED] Trouble Using Online Ancestry.com

I started having a problem after upgrading Firefox to V.3.03
It was like putting me into a circular file with the login page
What I have done so far
(1) contacted ancestry and through their advice removed all ancestry cookies in case of a corrupted one
(2) Increased my cache to 300 MB
(3) Suspecting now a security problem I went to Norton 360 and using their advice made several different changes to and include shutting off all security again to no avail
(4) Went to IE and it works but would rather stay in Firefox if possible
If someone can advise me as to what to do it would be most appreciated Thank You. hrpja

Hi hepja,

This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team responding to your posting.

Are you using Norton 360 version 2.x?

If not, and you have a valid subscription to Norton 360, you are entitled to a free update, which you can get by visiting the Norton Update Center.

Norton Update Center

If you already are using version 2.x, please run LiveUpdate to ensure that you have the latest updates applied.

Using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, click on the following link and run the Tool to see if that resolves the issue.

Norton Tool to fix problems accessing ancestry.com

Let me know the outcome.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: Trouble Using Online Ancestry.com

To Michael York, Thank you for your suggestion. That led me to the ERROR SMART program which I bought and run and it found over 500 errors in my computer and then fixed then. Subsequently I tried running ancestry, com and it ran. Thanks again hrpja
