[SOLVED] Attn tetonbob!!!! slow internet...

Hi tetonbob, AllysonA back again!! You've just spent the last few days helping me with Malware removal and now that we've got that all sorted I'm having problems with my Internet. Both my Internet and email (Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird) are very, very slow! Painfully slow! It takes about 5 mins to load a page and then sometimes it doesn't load at all....it just says "problem loading page" or "connection interrupted". Please help!!

is your internet slow with a browser other than firefox?

Yes it's the same with Internet Explorer.

what computer? maybe try reinstalling the network card driver?

try going into safemode with network and see if its any faster.

I tried going into safemode with network and it wasn't any better. As for reinstalling the network card driver....i have no idea what that means!! Obviously I am only a beginner with computers. I contacted my Internet Provider and they said everything looked fine from their end, and that it was probably due to some of the programmes, etc that you guys had me install to fix my Malware problem. Could that be the problem?

if it was no different in safemode with network then it most likely had nothing to do with the programs that were installed. Go to the computer manufactuers website, do a search for your specific computer and download their drivers for the network card and reinstall.
