firefox 3 form font

this is just be me being picky but.............

ok, so now that my favorite firefox add-ons are finally firefox3 compatible, i made the jump to firefox3. let me first just say that the new styles for the buttons are ugly. i liked the older styles and fonts for the toolbars. this was fixed by downloading a firefox2 theme for firefox3. however, i have noticed that the font for certain forms (it varies) in firefox3 is different than that from firefox2, and i don't like it. some forms have it, some do not. it seems that some use the website's own default fonts, while others have this new font that is only in firefox3. i've taken some screenshots:

why does this happen for some forms and not happen for others, and how can i fix it? (by fix it i mean get it back to how the font was in firefox2).

Tools > Options > Fonts & Colors. Set the default font and go through the Advanced options to customise.

I'm using Firefox 2, but I'm not sure if my fonts are default because I'm using a different theme and Windows Visual Style which might have changed the defaults. Anyway, here's mine for reference:
Default: Verdana
Proportional: Serif
Serif: Verdana
Sans-serif: Arial
Monospace: Courier New
Remove the checkmark from 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts'

no that just changes the fonts that webpages are displayed. i want to keep all of that stuff default, keep webpages to choose their own fonts, etc. i just want the form typing like the image examples above to be the same as it was in firefox 2. ff2 used a different font, ff3 uses the font that is in those images above. i want it to be the same that it used to be in ff2, because that's what i like and that's what i was used to. ff3 decided to change it for some reason...
