Firefox3 Home/Start Page

Hi there
My problem is that i can't change the firefox home page, at least not permanantly anyway.
At the moment it is firefox start with a google search bar.
I go to options, change the default home page to any URL, and it accepts it, and when i click the home button i'm off to that URL.
If i close firefox though, it goes back to the default firefox start with a google search bar. It's very annoying.
Is there anyway to make the homepage change permanent rather than for as long as firefox is open?
