[SOLVED] FF 3.0.1 Problems.
Ok, here is the deal. I just upgraded to 3.0.1 yesterday. I figured I would be ok because on my wife's laptop I already did the upgrade a little bit ago. We have the same laptop. The only difference is I have upgraded my vista to ultimate while she has home premium and I also have 2g RAM to her 1g.
After upgrading, I am getting this weird effect when I click on any of the links up top of the browser. The whole screen turns gray. I have my options to choose from. I can't see them per say, but I can tell that they are there. I also get the same effect when I right click. I figured that it might just be the default theme or something so I tried to download another theme but I kept getting an error message. I tried to download other stuff. Extensions and the like and I get the same error message. Anyone else have the same problems? Pictures will be posted below. When I click bookmarks ![]() When I right click ![]() When I try and download a theme

Re: FF 3.0.1 Problems.
Are you running any extensions currently?
Close Firefox. Locate your profile folder: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Delete (or rather, cut and paste out to a 'safe' location, the file 'localstore.rdf') Start Firefox. See if that's sorted it. If not you may as well restore your localstore.rdf file. |

Re: FF 3.0.1 Problems.
Hey Manc,
Thanks for the reply. I have tried to remove that file and restart firefox and I get no change. I also Tried to just reinstall to the last available v2 and it was fine with the exception of none of my extensions worked. Also non of them work now with the v3.0.1. I forgot to mention that. Any Idea where I can get the version 3.0.0?

You can download all versions of Firefox from 0.8 to the latest 3.0.1 from http://www.oldapps.com/firefox.htm

Re: FF 3.0.1 Problems.
ok. I was able to figure it out. Thanks for all the help guys.
The problem lied with the default theme of 3.0.1 when I downgraded to 3.0.0 and switched themes it was fixed.
