Firefox continually not responding
Hi, I recently started using Firefox and have loved it. Over the last few days it has continually stopped responding. Most times it will start reponding in a short time, but now I have to shut the program down and reboot firefox. I hope you can help. Thank you for your consideration of this matter. Elle299 |

Re: Firefox continually not responding
at what time of day does this usually happen? if its from 12:00 to 20:00 well the answer is simple... Firefox has had some problems with server overloads PARTICULARLY from 12:00 to 20:00. just go on internet before 12:00 or after 20:00 if you want Firefox to work properly

Re: Firefox continually not responding
I think you should try an uninstall-reinstall and see if that fixes the problem.. It could be a corrupt installation. With firefox 2, I occasionally had the problem of firefox crashing and I did a reinstallation and it worked fine after that

Re: Firefox continually not responding
You're right, it could be so, but I don't think it is. I've had the same problem with FF (my favorite browser ever) for quite a while now. Newb, may well be correct also. To be frank, I'm not sure what the problem is, but FF definitely doesn't work as well as it did in the past (for me, at least). I've switched to Opera in OSX and Windows, and mostly Konqueror in Linux. None, IMO, are as nice as FF, but at the moment, they don't seem to have FF's slowdown/hang issues.
