Firefox 3

Any idea when there will be any new themes for it? Its the only thing thats holding me back from installing it. I have Firefox 2 with a black and silver skin to match my WindowBlinds setup, but htis new version doesnt have many skins at all.

Mozilla actually 'promised' to make a new theme and call it Firefox 2.5, but it never came out. now they say Firefox 4 will have a new theme, futuristic theme they said i think.

Wasn't there a million and one 'skins' for firefox 2 though? Thats what Im talking about, wheres the development kit for open source programmers etc? I'd love to be able to use firefox 3, but I just cant until it becomes part of my desktop environment.

I came to realize, that a lot of FF2.0 themes are only incompatible to FF3.0 because of the MAXVERSIONS settings in the appr. install.rdf
The Firefox plugin Nightly Tester Tool v2.02 should take care of that.
It lets you override the compatibility test thus enabling you to see for yourself if the theme of your choice really is incompatible or not.
In case you don't like to install a new plugin just for that go into your extensions folder in your profile, locate the folder with the theme in question and edit the install.rdf yourself.

That certainly will not cure any real incompatibility issues but at least it gives you the opportunity to try out which of the "old" skins are still usable under FF3.0
