OS: MS XP HOME Edition SP2

Whenever i open firefox n type url it gives me msg " Proxy server is refusing connections".
every time i hev to go to toools..options...advanced...network...settings where i see that it has selected manual proxy configuration...then i ve to select autodetect option ...n only then it starts working . everytime i hve to do this . pls help |

Re: Firefox - Proxy Server Refusing Connections
Have you tried just entering the address of the proxy server automatic proxy configuration url. If you go to tools > options > advanced > network > settings. At the bottom there is an option for inputing the url of the proxy server, so that everytime you load firefox it will use that server. Try that and see if that makes a difference.
