Re: hijacked firefox
Try running firefox in safe mode, (firefox's safe mode) and see if the problem persists... if it does go away check your plugins... if not then i don't know what you can do, by hijacked exactly what are the symptoms?
Cheers, Jamey |

Re: hijacked firefox
jaimie,
how do i log onto firefox in safe mode? when i got to the compute rthis morning i had a notice from mozilla to update the firefox immediately, which i did but it does not seem to make a difference. what i mean by google seems to hijacked my bokmarks is that i still have my old bookmarks in the firefox tool bar, and they work. but now when i want to make a bookmark, i get an error message from google that it can't do it, There was an error submitting the following bookmark to Google: Tech Support Forum - Reply to Topic also when i first log on in the morning, i get an annoying window (sorry, i don't have it copied, so i can't show you, that keeps popping up about verifying me with google. i've tried clicking ok but it keeps coming back up until i click on cancel. tears estelle http://www.techsupportforum.com/newr...te=1&p=1520462 |

Re: hijacked firefox
Hey again, i'm unsure of wether it differs with mac buuut... usually safe mode is accessed through a menu item "firefox(safe mode)" which is the same as opening firefox but with the command line parameter "-safe-mode" if you can't work it out then post back and i'll read into mac...
Cheers, Jamey p.s. if it's fine in safe mode then look deeply at your plugins... |
