Firefox (not responding)

I keep getting the (not responding) message when I try to move around on a site.

Any suggestions on how to correct this. It's quite a nuisance.

Thanks!

Re: Firefox (not responding)

Thanks for your response.

It happens on all sites. When you say add-ons, what exactly do you mean?

Re: Firefox (not responding)

Go into Tools menubar and you'll find an option called Add-ons there.

They're extensions to increase Fx functioning and features. Very useful

How often do you get the error and for how long?
Does it happen in IE?
Which Fx version are you using? (Help > About)

Re: Firefox (not responding)

sorry I did not get back sooner - I somehow missed your reply.

firefox2 is a resource eater and not responding problems is very common. Tell a little about your computer, cpu, ram, harddrive size and free space.

Also give another browser a try. Maybe opera or even mise and see if you still have the problem. If not then its strictly a firefox problem
