Mozilla crash with too many tabs open

mozilla has only recently started to hang when I have too many tabs open, even occasionally with only one tab open.

I have run spyware, registry repair.

problem still exists.

running win xp professional 2002
mozilla 2.0.0.14
adsl

Hello, welcome to TSF.

How many tabs is too many many tabs? (a rough number)

Also, try opening it in Safe Mode and opening the same number of tabs to see if it hangs. If it doesn't, then it could be one of your plugin's causing the problem.

on average approx 6 tabs
occasionally even with 2-3 tabs
am running piclense plugin
using aerofox theme plugin

Try the same in safe mode and see if the results are the same.

actually it has just crashed when an ADVERT is trying to load

adserver

can this be the problem with ads & popups?

I would think not but install this plug-in and you'll get rid of the ad's and pop ups
