Logging on to websites with a log in and password

for some reason i cannot log into websites that involve my login and password. it seems the browser times me out every time i try to log in. it only effects me on one computer so it doesnt have to do with the websites. i namely cannot log into my facebook or gmail accounts. Everytime i put in my email and password and hit enter, it quickly says it cannot load the page. what is the problem and how do i fix it?

Hi, welcome to TSF

Website login details are usually stored on your computer in small text files called cookies. Check your browser, firewall, security software and Internet Options to make sure cookies are not being blocked by any of them.

i still do not have access even though all my cookies are safe. in addition, for some reason i was able to log into this website no problem. i also failed to mention that i cannot access either gmail or facebook from internet explorer as well. i don't know if that makes a difference. Thanks for all the help,
