Cannot load certain web pages
So I've been having a strange problem in the past 24 hours. Whenever I try to load certain web pages, I just get a "Waiting for <website>..." message in the lower left corner of the browser, and it doesn't do anything else... In specific, I've been able to get to google.com, but not execute certain searches (i.e. "bacon" and "final" work fine, for example, but "hats" and "support" do not); also, I can't access and part of Facebook save for www.facebook.com/home.php? (but the Facebook chat module fails to load). I've also been unable to access my Yahoo email, with my.yahoo.com loading sometimes, and other times just giving me the continuous "waiting" message.
The same problems also occur when using Internet Explorer. I have the latest version of both browsers, and just a few hours ago did a Spyware Doctor scan-and-clean, but to no avail. Any help? |

Re: Cannot load certain web pages
Go into safe mode with networking. If you can view pages ok there, then I would say there is something running in the background causing the problems. Perhaps run a full spyware/antivirus scan in safe mode too. hope this helps!!
