[SOLVED] Cannot sign into Myspace.com with Firefox

Hi All,

Just having abit of an issue here, as the title suggests i cannot sign into Myspace using FireFox. I have cookies disabled but i am adding sites by URL as i go in an attempt to keep as much B/S Malware off my system as possible. After adding "www.myspace.com" as a URL to accept cookies from Firefox still will not let me log in.

I am using the current version (AFAIK) :
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14

Any suggestions??

Oh and BTW i am also running the HOSTS file as suggested here....

What Add-On's do you have installed on your copy of Firefox.

If you completely enable cookies does the MySpace page load up correctly?

-Just trying to narrow down the problem.

It sure does my good man,

But i am trying to find a soloution that allows me to selectively add sites into the "allow cookies" list and when i add myspace it simply wont work.... which is annoying, its just every time i scan for spyware it comes back with 100Trillion tracking cookies *actual figure might be lower* but you know what i mean?

Just trying to be Netsafe =D

Have you tried Spybot S&D? there's an "Immunize" function which updates your hosts file with a tonne of sites which save tracking cookies etc.

When you add the MySpace URL try adding it WITH the http://

Instead of putting in = www.myspace.com
Try putting in = http://www.myspace.com

and make sure you hit Allow, I accidentally hit block a couple times. heh

I just tried using http://www.myspace.com/ but still no good, I think this might just be a case of Myspace giving in to payed advertisement and not allowing people to use the site unless the ads can have the unrestricted use of cookies =(

Guys you would not believe it lol, I tried everything with this stupid myspace issue.... At the end of the day the most minimalistic approach was the answer, All i had to do was type "myspace.com" into the "accept cookies" list and that was it, 100% unrestricted access, It wont work if you enter "http://www.myspace.com" it wont work if you enter "www.myspace.com" but so long as you just put the bare "myspace.com" in it works like a charm.

I feel abit foolish now but meh....
