Firefox Javascript problem.

So I turn my PC on today and go to youtube to watch a video I was sent and received this error message:

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player." Well, I clicked on where it said "Click here to get the latest flash player" etc and downloaded it, installed it and everything and it's the same. So then I went into tools on firefox and see that Enable Javascript and Java are both clicked which leaves me stumped. I have no idea what's wrong. Any ideas?

Just a stab in the dark.

Do you have NoScript? If so that's probably it.

Yes, but this problem is also occurring with sites I have whitelisted. So I don't think thats the issue.

I'd be inclined to disable NoScript just to narrow down the problem.
Tools/Add-ons>Disable NoScript. Restart FF and try those sites.

If that's not it then it does sound like a Flash Player problem.
I'd download and run the uninstaller for Flash, reboot then install the latest version.

Well now I'm really stumped. Disabling noscript fixed the problem, which is odd considering the sites which weren't working were whitelisted. Can you suggest possible ways I can alter noscript to fix the problem?

Right-click the NoScript icon in the status bar and allow the website. Then right-click the icon again and select Options. Click the Plugins tab and remove the checkmarks from Forbid Java, Flash and Other Plugins.
