Views on Apple Safari
Have used Firefox for years and somehow Safari appeared on my system today. Must have come bundled with something else. Any comments on Safari. Claims to be faster than Explorer but how does it compare to Firefox. And should I remove Safari if I don't want it?

Re: Views on Apple Safari
My internet explorer and firefox have both packed in at the minute, and I accidentally deleted my firefox3 beta, so I've sort of been forced into using Safari.
So far so good though. It seems pretty quick, really nice customization with the toolbars. Only real problem I see at the minute is whether or not I can get the plugins I was using before. Also a few minor niggles (no click to scroll, text looks a little different in pages for some reason). |

Re: Views on Apple Safari
They both have their ups and downs. Speed wise, I find them pretty much the same. I use safari on a Mac so I don't have to worry about the security aspect all that much
. Both are stable and expendable. Safari, supposedly, handles text better though I don't think I saw a noticeable difference. It's all down to preference I guess. I don't think you'll notice any major differences between FF and Safari. I'd recommend leaving it on the system just in case your default browser develops a problem, but there shouldn't be a issue if you choose to remove it. |

Re: Views on Apple Safari
unfortunately apple is forcing installations of safari with their other products. You have to watch what you install from apple if you do not want itunes, quicktime and safari. This includes updating
I use it at times but it has problems with some security pages where I go to pay my bills. I actually like the look and added a safari theme to my firefox.
