Can the firefox cache be split
I would be grateful for responses to following queries:
a) If i move my cache to a separate location than the system drive (due to space crunch on default drive) using "browser.cache.disk.parent_directory", would the disk cache max size that i set, have any relation to browsing speed? Is it advisable to set it at something like 200-300 MB. b) Can the cache be split into two parts: one 'read-only' for the common sites visited (eg. yahoo, google etc.) and the other normal one, that can be cleaned after each session? The basic reason for the queries is that as my net connection is not unlimited, the downloaded MBs count. So maintaining a 'safe' large enough cache will help. |
