firefox freezes most times i minimize etc.

for some reason recently firefox has been freezing any time i minimize. there may be other conditions that have caused a freeze but i cant recall.

if anyone has a clue what might be causing this i would appreciate the input.

also i don't know if i should attach any information along with this msg...

Try reinstalling Firefox and then make sure it is set as your default browser.

Let me know if that helps, if not we can try something else.

Re: firefox freezes most times i minimize etc.

well it seems as though that may have done the trick, that is since i am currently minimizing firefox and am not seeing any problems.
ill make sure to post any problems if they come back. my only other question would be, so you have any information or opinions relative to firefox beta 3? i had normal firefox and the beta(both had freezing problems at that time). the beta only seemed to be compatible with less add ons. i dont know if the beta might be worth it though with it saying its supposed to be faster.

thanks again for the help.

Re: firefox freezes most times i minimize etc.

firefox3 is supposed to be a whole lot better than firefox2. It will not eat resources like ff2 did. I use it at times and it is faster but it still have problems with some pages I visit - likes to crash. Also, Most of my addons does not work with it. YOu can give it a try. It will not overwrite your current version of firefox nor your settings - except your default browser one.
