Sever Not Found. (Read before you assume)

I'm trying to get to a site.
www.clanbfac.freeforums.org
The Problem loading Page - Server not found error comes up. I assure you this is the correct spelling. I'm able to open up other pages. Some of my friends can access this page, but I can't. Its getting a bit frustrating

Re: Sever Not Found. (Read before you assume)

Did you do anything that would cause them to ban you at the server level?

Aside from that, have you tried clearing your temporary internet files?

The only other thing I can think of that it might be is a DNS cache problem on your machine. You can test this by going to a command prompt and typing ipconfig /flushdns

I went right to it. Try another browser and see if you can access it. Also try it without the www and see what happens.

I've tried all these... No luck. If you have any other suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Sever Not Found. (Read before you assume)

It is possible that your DNS servers themselves are messed up. This happened with my Penn State dns servers- it wouldn't go to Techsupportforum.com, if you can believe that.

I used OpenDNS to test it out, and it worked just fine.

I have the same problem with http://sevenwondersonline.net. I used openDNS and this page came up:"Yikes, sevenwondersonline.net computers don't seem to work. Usually this problem is solved in a few minutes so try again later". That was this morning and the page still won't load. Tried everything from ipconfig /flushdns to clearing cache to going back to "Obtain DNS server address automatically". Nothing seems to work. Everybody I know can access the page. Any advice???
Thanks ~ Debbie

It's not loading for me either, so it's a safe bet the server's down.

Thanks, Fox. It was loading this afternoon for everyone but me and now I hear the server is indeed down and no one can access the page. I'm glad nothing's wrong with my old computer.
Thanks again!!!
