[SOLVED] IE works, but not Firefox
I'm on my school computer network (and will, for the rest of the semester), and while Internet Explorer 6 works perfectly, when I try Firefox (pre-installed on computer), it says that Firefox cannot connect to the specified page. I don't think it's a firewall, unless Windows Firewall doesn't display a warning when it blocks something. I also asked the teacher/tech guy, and he didn't know any reason either. Any possible fixes for this? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: IE works, but not Firefox
Does the school computer run through a proxy server to get to the internet?
If you are not sure you can check and see how IE is set up. Open IE > click Tools > Internet Options > Click the Connections tab > click the Lan Settings button Is it checked for using a proxy server? If so copy down the proxy servers address and port number. Then open FireFox and click Tools > Options... > Advanced > and chose the network tab. From there click the Settings button. Enter in the copied down info in the HTTP proxy section. Let us know if this helps.
