Windows Media Player ActiveX plug-in

Hi there,
When I go to a certain web site using Mozilla Firefox it asks to down load a activeX program to view the web page. But when it tries to download and install I get a error code -202 and then it says cannot install with another error code -227. If I view the web page with Internet explorer it views fine. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm running windows vista home premium. I've included a attachment of my computer systems.
Thanks,
Dave
Seems I can't upload my computer info because it already exists in another form under windows mail. Don't know why!!!

Re: Windows Media Player ActiveX plug-in

For security reasons, Firefox doesn't use ActiveX. This is why some websites will only work in Internet Explorer.

Try IETab, which allows IE-only sites to load in Forefox.

Re: Windows Media Player ActiveX plug-in

Hi again,
I find that my laptop running windows vista and Mozilla fire fox is the one being asked to down load activeX for the windows media player. I have a desk top computer running window XP and when I go to the same web page it loads up just fine. This is only a problem because my wife is using the laptop and was wondering why the difference. I don't know why.
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Windows Media Player ActiveX plug-in

Do you use internet explorer on your desktop? You might have already installed the active x program on the desktop or your settings might set to automatically install active x without a prompt - which is not recommended
